On November 16, 2022, I participated in Women’s Summit 2022, organized by Forbes Vietnam. This experience has given me a lot of motivation and inspiration to further develop my leadership mindset and life attitude of successful women.
Women’s Summit 2022 of Forbes Vietnam: Women Rising
Despite being busy with a 2-week business trip from Korea to Taiwan, when having received an invitation to Women’s Summit 2022 by Forbes 2022, taking place in Ho Chi Minh City on November 16, I have been trying to arrange work and time to participate in this special event.
From the moment I found out about this event, I was really inspired and really wanted to take part in it. Organized by Forbes Vietnam, this was a gathering place of outstanding women who are creating change and leading influential individuals from the country and the region. Therefore, I wanted to be present in this meaningful talk so that I could learn, broaden my horizons and further have the opportunity to meet and talk with successful and energetic women.
Gain knowledge and energy from amazing women
During the talk, a special guest appeared that made me extremely admire, and look forward to learning and meeting: Jacinda Ardern – New Zealand Prime Minister. Carrying the responsibility of an entire country since the age of 37, Jacinda Ardern has attracted the world’s attention with her outstanding personal leadership style. She displays a sincere, caring attitude to the people and the constituencies that she represents. At this talkshow, Jacinda Ardern shared with us her valuable knowledge and experience in leadership, also gave suggestions for the world towards a positive future, when all genders can contribute to the process of driving change. I was really proud and grateful to be able to directly listen to such valuable sharing from Jacinda Ardern.
In particular, in the speech of Jacinda Ardern, there was a saying that I am very impressed with and take it as a lesson for myself: “We want to make New Zealand not the best of the world, but the best for the world “. I apply this “theory” and this spirit in my own work, when I always remind my team “You work with me, not for me”. Each individual works together, contributing to bring useful values to the community, to our lives and to ourselves. I am really interested and consider this as a guideline in shaping my lifestyle and way of working.
Besides, at this event, I also watched an online interview with Sangeeta Kaur (Teresa Mai) – a Vietnamese-American female singer who won the Grammy Award 2022. With her talent and efforts, she made me feel so proud. A woman who is petite in appearance but not petite in her efforts, comes from Vietnam and makes everyone admire. Listening to each statement and sharing of Teresa Mai, I felt like I was more motivated and wanted to try harder to learn and improve myself.
At this seminar, I also had the opportunity to get to know, talk and share with many successful women with energy up to 1000 degrees Celsius. Despite the character “weak” as so many people often say, these women radiate strength and energy, with the same top-notch temperament as implicitly asserting that they can also build top-notch career and reputation “empires”, not being inferior to anyone. Women can completely change the world. Who run the world, Girls!
During the event , I was also quite surprised when all the participants focused all their attention on the speaker’s speech. No one was surfing social media or texting, unless of course capturing special moments or snapping selfies together. This sight was considered “rare”, as I have attended quite a few similar talks, but it was difficult to find this in other crowds. That’s how powerful the charm emanating from these women can be!
Once again, thank you to Forbes Vietnam for hosting such an inspiring and energetic talk that ignited my energy! All of us, you and I, stay energized and motivated to learn, explore the world, live the life we’ve always wanted!
